  My wife and I had our shack built by Kookaburra Homes in 2018. As a plumber with my own business I have been involved in residential construction for many years. Being involved in the residential construction and insurance industries I naturally come across and speak to many people who have or are building new houses with other builders. In doing so, over the years I have heard countless building horror stories from friends and customers, which I guess had made me quite apprehensive about wanting to build at all.
  Our experience with Kookaburra Homes was the absolute opposite...
  I must admit I had concerns from the outset that the build wouldn't meet my high expectations as everyday I see poor workmanship and corner cutting in other houses that I work on. But I can honestly say that the shack has turned out magnificent.
  I was able to keep a keen eye on the building process from start to finish as I did the plumbing myself, and I must say everything was done to a great standard at every stage along the way. This has resulted in a shack that has exceeded our expectations.
  The whole Kookaburra team has been great to deal with from start to finish and super professional.
  A year on from getting the keys and we are still over the moon with how our shack has turned out and we can't fault it!
  Often when I meet new neighbours up the shack and they find out we were the people who built the new Kookaburra Homes place, we get a "concerned" ask about how KH's was to deal with. My response is always "you know what, they were actually really awesome!".
  From my experience in the building industry this type of response is the exception and not the norm.
  Anyway, that is our experience with Kookaburra and again we would like to thank Steve, Wayne, Dylan and the rest of the team for a job well done.

  We had a vision for how we wanted our house to look, feel and fit on our block which kookaburra executed perfectly. Other builders seemed quite rigid but kookaburra took the time to understand what we wanted and to bring that idea to life.
  The teams attention to detail didn't lapse through the whole process building the house we had imagined to the highest standard.

  As a first time home builder i didn't know what to expect but the team at Kookaburra made the process as easy as possible. we were kept informed at each step of the process and questions were answered promptly. We would definitely build with them again

  We didn’t expect to be building at this stage of our lives, but Kookaburra Homes made the whole process extremely simple. Everything fell into place and the build was relatively stress free. A big thank you to James who was always approachable and supportive. We would highly recommend this company to anyone that is considering building.

  I spoke to Nordz this morning. Despite you guys not doing extensions with breezeways, he still took the time to offer advice on where to look and the type of builder to look for. He was amazing when I told him about how I have been stuffed around. I really appreciate his time and sympathetic ear and great advice.
